Requirements in case of amendment in the construction of the road vehicle
Changeover from personal motor vehicle to a cargo vehicle
  • The cargo room should be separated from the seats with a durably fixed barrier
  • The side windows should be protected
  • The area determined for the cargo should be generally flat (flat bottom)
  • Detailed requirements in ORDINANCE No. N-3 from 18th February 2013
  • Necessary documents:

a) part I of the Certificate of Title of the amended road vehicle.

 

Changeover from cargo vehicle to a personal motor vehicle
  • Only mounting of original seats and three-point belts foreseen by the manufacturer is allowed
  • Additionally mounted seats, their fixation and the headrests should comply with the requirements of:

a) Ordinance No. 100 or

b) Directive 74/408/EEC or

c) Rule No. 17 of UNECE for road vehicles from category M1

  • The road vehicles should have protective belts complying with the requirements of:

a) Ordinance No. 105 or

b) Directive 77/541/EEC or

c) Rule No. 16 of UNECE

a) part I of the Certificate of Title of the amended road vehicle.

Replacement of engine of road vehicle
  • The new engine should be in compliance with the following requirements:

a) newer or same year of manufacture compared to the old one  

b) same or higher EURO norm

  • Necessary documents 

a) part I of the Certificate of Title of the amended road vehicle.

b) document with designated TYPE of the new engine (invoice, Certificate of Title of the scrapped road vehicle or Announcement from Traffic Police)

Car transport superstructure (platform)
  • The car transport superstructure is assembled to the body of the motor vehicle by means of intermediate frame, which is mounted only with bolt connections. No weldings are permitted. The bolt size should be at least 8–10 mm and there should be a thread sealant applied.  
  • The rear overhang of the motor vehicle (from the center of second axle of the motor vehicles) should not be greater than 60% of the wheel base of the motor vehicle (from the center of first axle to the center of second axle).  
  • With length dimension of more than 6 m, there should be side active sidelights assembled to the motor vehicle.  
  • Motor vehicles with a technical permissible maximum mass of more than 3500 t should have side protection assembled.
  • Along the platform there should be a 8–10 cm board assembled. There should be provided locations for latching the fixation devices or locations for fixing the wedges. Paths for loading and unloading on the car transporter should be stable fixed on the platform or under it.
  • Necessary documents 

a) part I of the Certificate of Title of the changed road vehicle.

b) weight receipt with the new own mass of the road vehicle
